Examinations
During terms 5 & 6, students of Star Academy will have the opportunity to participate in Professional Teachers of Dancing Musical Theatre examinations.
PTD is a member of the Council for Dance Education and Training and the Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama.
Additionally, students may have the opportunity to enter for Production examinations in their chosen subjects.
Arts Award
Star Academy is a registered Arts Award Centre, and is qualified to teach the Arts Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. These are equivalent to NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3.
The Arts Award is run by Trinity College London in close partnership with Arts Council England and is available for study by students aged between 11 and 25.
Our senior students are given the opportunity to study for this valuable qualification.
Shows
All pupils of Star Academy will have the opportunity to
perform in a Box Office musical each year at a local theatre. During Terms 1 and 2, Junior students will work towards their show, with Senior students working towards their show during Terms 3 and 4. Show dates will be confirmed at the beginning of each academic year.
Reports
A written report is provided at the end of Term 6 for all students who have completed a full academic year.
