About our staff & training
Star Academy has trained their staff to be inspirational, safe and effective teachers, following a structured and
progressive plan that teaches children the principles of dance and drama whilst being consistent. Staff work on teaching new techniques and methods while developing students’ skills and creativity.
It is a policy of Star Academy to employ experienced Dance and Drama teachers. All staff are enhanced CRB cleared for suitability to work with children and are fully covered by Public Liability and Teacher Liability insurance.
Regular inspections are carried out throughout the year by senior management or by an independent agent.
All Star Academy staff have attended first aid courses and hold the relevant certificates. They will deal with minor cuts, grazes etc. Where more serious injury occurs we will make every effort to contact you immediately.
We do request that parents/guardians keep us updated with telephone contacts, as in the event of an emergency only a relative can give permission for a child to be treated by a doctor or a nurse.
